Marfan Syndrome is one of the most common inherited disorders of connective tissue. About 1 in 5,000 people have Marfan syndrome including men and women of all races and ethnic groups. More than 200,000 people are affected by Marfan syndrome and related conditions in the United States. Approximately 4000 new cases of Marfan syndrome are diagnosed each year.
