Diagnosing Marfan Syndrome
In addition to a complete medical history and physical examination a doctor may diagnose Marfan syndrome by diagnostic testing. These tests are an EKG, an echocardiogram, an eye exam, an X-ray and a DNA study. Marfan syndrome may be easier to diagnose as children age because many of the features of the disorder become more obvious as a body grows.
